Spotter Position

A spotter is responsible for moving trailers and containers within a warehouse yard, distribution center, or large industrial facility. Their main job is to ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods to and from loading docks and storage areas.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support while assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Responsible for moving containers/trailers with spotter truck to areas around the warehouse.
  • Responsible for complete paperwork necessary to complete job daily.
  • Required to properly scale a trailer.
  • Responsible for compliance in all aspects of equipment and grounds relating to all aspects of Rural King Distribution Center
  • Ensure all quality and production goals are met daily, weekly and monthly
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Previous experience with powered industrial equipment

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn latitude systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all facilities.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
  • Must be able to see at close and far distances.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, carry, and push repetitively.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $24.55 per hour and is eligible for shift premium. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
