Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary Creative Director to lead a team of content creators, including videographers, editors, copywriters, and designers, while also being deeply involved in strategy and execution. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands social media deeply, and knows how to craft compelling, high-performing content that aligns with the personal brand and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly creative, and strategic, with a deep understanding of audience engagement, storytelling, and platform-specific content strategies. This role requires someone excited about experimenting, innovating, and setting new creative standards in the content and attention economy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the creative team (videographers, editors, designers, copywriters) Develop and maintain a clear creative vision and strategy deck, updated quarterly
  • Oversee all content production, ensuring quality and alignment with brand goals
  • Meet weekly with leadership to discuss strategic initiatives and performance updates Collaborate on long-form and short-form content strategy, ensuring consistency across platforms
  • Lead brainstorming and concepting for new content ideas, including vlog topics, interviews, and other video formats
  • Provide feedback and approvals for all content before publishing
  • Oversee project management workflows in Asana/Notion and coordinate deadlines
  • Track content performance, providing weekly reports on engagement, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Identify and manage new platform opportunities as they arise
  • Ensure content cadence is followed, maintaining a consistent and optimized posting schedule
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling personal brand matters
  • Content Strategy & Management
    • Develop and maintain content calendars across all platforms.
    • Ensure content is scheduled at least 10 days in advance.
    • Strategically distribute content to avoid repetitive themes or formats.
    • Support in the ideation, development, and execution of content strategies.
    • Assist in analyzing and optimizing content performance based on key metrics.
    • Keep up with industry trends and social media best practices to inform content strategy.
  • Team & Vendor Coordination
    • Manage an internal team of video editors, designers, copywriters, and social media managers.
    • Oversee communication with vendors, freelancers, and agencies.
    • Ensure smooth collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
    • Assist in sourcing and hiring creative talent as needed.
  • Content Production & Execution
    • Coordinate video and media production timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
    • Oversee file storage, accessibility, and compliance with naming conventions
    • Review and approve final content before publishing to maintain quality and consistency.
    • Support in content repurposing, pulling impactful moments from past content.
    • Identify new opportunities for content expansion across emerging platforms.
  • Operational Efficiency & Reporting
    • Identify bottlenecks in content production and implement automated solutions.
    • Consolidate and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to improve efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate weekly and monthly reporting on content performance.
    • Ensure all onboarding documents and processes are up to date for new hires.
    • Lead weekly creative team meetings and provide updates on key initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Creative Director or similar leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms and best practices (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • Staying up to speed on social media trends, updates, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of content production (video editing, filming, design, audio editing, copywriting).
  • Ability to lead and manage a creative team, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • High level of initiative and innovation, always looking for ways to push creative boundaries.
  • Passion for digital content creation, keeping up with trends, and emerging formats.
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, concise, and proactive in updates.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Fast-paced problem solver who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to pivot quickly when needed
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing teams.
  • Familiarity with content scheduling, paid media, content production, podcast production, and influencer collaborations.
  • Ability to oversee content strategy, execution, and optimization across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with automation tools (Zapier, AI-based tools, workflow automation) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to enforce brand consistency and alignment.

Results & Success Metrics

  • Content aligns with brand mission, vision, values, and strategy.
  • All content is approved before being posted, ensuring high quality and alignment.
  • A consistent content schedule and cadence are maintained across all platforms.
  • Minimum of two long-form videos published per month
  • Minimum of two short-form videos posted daily across all platforms
  • Minimum of four written posts on LinkedIn per week
  • All content is optimized for engagement, retention, and audience growth.
  • The brand remains innovative and adaptable to changes in digital trends and updates.

Salary

  • $130-150k, based on experience and qualifications
  • Performance-based bonuses may be available

Communication & Workflow Expectations

  • Weekly team check-ins to review progress, address challenges, and strategize new initiatives
  • High responsiveness and proactive updates to ensure the smooth execution of projects
  • Occasional check-ins on weekends or outside standard hours, as needed, to meet critical deadlines
