Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on mission-driven projects. Your role includes deploying and developing pipelines and platforms to organize and analyze disparate data. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. Your experience in analytical exploration and data examination will support the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients.

Requirements

• Experience with Shell and Python scripting, Terraform, and Ansible for automation
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for PostgreSQL deployment and management
• Experience deploying and managing PostgreSQL databases on AWS
• Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels
• Ability to work in complex enterprise environments and determine optimal solutions for business and customer needs
• Ability to manage tasks and projects independently with minimal guidance
• Ability to research, design, document, and implement new database services independently
• Top Secret clearance

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in SQL optimization workflows
• Experience developing or tuning advanced PostgreSQL monitoring setups
• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server performance optimization
• Experience with logical decoding and replication
• Experience working in Agile environments
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience as a database engineer in large enterprise systems, or 14+ years of experience without a degree

Clearance Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance required; candidates will undergo security investigation to access classified information
