We are currently in search of a Database Assistant for a nonprofit organization dedicated to community impact and fundraising excellence. This is a temporary, part-time, in-person position based in New York, NY (East Harlem). ORGANIZATION TYPE: Nonprofit Fighting Hunger & Food Instability LOCATION: New York, NY (East Harlem) POSITION TITLE: Temporary Part-Time Database Assistant SCHEDULE: Part-time - 2-3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm - Up to 28 hours/week DURATION: Temporary, ending January 9, 2026 PAY RANGE: $24 - $27/hour Is This Your Dream Job? The Temporary Part-Time Database Assistant will support the development team in maintaining and optimizing the organization's donor database, Raiser's Edge NXT, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to support fundraising operations. This role involves database management, reporting, data processing, and collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to supporting mission-driven work. Our Ideal Candidate: • Bachelor's degree in a related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Raiser's Edge NXT • Strong proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace • Excellent organizational, data management, and analytical skills • Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity • Collaborative team player comfortable working with diverse communities How You Will Spend Your Day: • Support all aspects of Raiser's Edge NXT database management, including updates, deduplication, troubleshooting, and liaising with Blackbaud • Process financial gifts from individual, foundation, and corporate donors and ensure timely acknowledgment • Generate and update regular reports, including weekly Gift Detail Reports, quarterly Board Give/Get Reports, and lists for key publications • Import gifts from third-party donation platforms and transfer volunteer data from Volunteer Hub • Track progress against annual and quarterly revenue targets and facilitate reporting to the Chief Development Officer and Development team • Manage donor acknowledgment letters and invoices in a timely manner • Perform additional duties as directed by the Chief Development Officer We'd love to hear from you.
