Job Summary For Database ArchitectPosition: Database ArchitectLocation: 701 W 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751 (Local to Austin area required; Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Term: 09/01/2025 08/31/2026, with up to 3 optional one-year renewalsHours: Full-time, normal business hours (M-F, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM); may require occasional after-hours workKey Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Create and optimize database architectures to support analytics and reporting
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, archiving, recovery, and implementation
• Clean and maintain databases; ensure data quality and integrity
• Lead and manage advanced analytics projects and teams
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, big data analytics) in healthcare
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with organizational goals
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models and metadata registries
• Ensure database interfaces and reporting tools are EIR accessibility compliant
• Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract actionable insights
• Oversee ETL pipeline design and data integration, especially using Informatica
• Architect solutions using cloud data platforms, primarily Snowflake
• Manage data storage, security, and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in data architecture, modeling, warehousing, and advanced analytics
• Extensive experience with business intelligence, big data solutions, and healthcare data standards (FHIR, CCDA, HL-7)
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and managing cloud-based data storage/applications
• Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, best practices, and governance
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience implementing big data applications, hybrid cloud deployments, and enterprise architecture practices
• Hands-on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala
• Healthcare industry experience
• Familiarity with TOGAF, cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and customer-focused communication skills
• Proactive leadership and excellent attention to detail

Other Details

• Must already reside in Texas (Austin area)
• Position may require up to 100% remote work at agency discretion
• All travel and related expenses are the candidate's responsibility
• Microsoft Teams will be used for interviews
