The Database Administrator will function as a Database Administrator, Web Developer, and Programmer for the MIS Department at Caswell Developmental Center.Job responsibilities include the following:
- The position will develop custom n-tier applications systems using programming languages such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET, HTML5, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, and/or PHP, where applicable. These applications may be WAN or LAN-based and will require the understanding and use of relational databases. Methods of data retrieval will include the use of HL7, ODBC and other similar protocols.
- Strong knowledge in database theory and design, SQL syntax, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
- Triggers and SQL Server Agent jobs maintenance is required.
- The employee will design and administer databases including triggers and stored procedures. These applications must be secure and provide encryption of patient data, role-based access, as well as audit logging. Reports and queries will be developed to generate information from data residing on local databases and WAN databases using tools such as SSIS and SSRS. Some applications will require import or conversion of legacy and/or current data from existing disparate systems.
- Database applications will be maintained by this employee including the systematic analysis of data integrity.
- This employee will also meet with subject matter experts to develop requirements for new or upgraded applications.

Management Preferences: Minimum of 5 years' experience programming in .NET (VB, C#), relational database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and web development (HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery).
