The Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining and monitoring interactive dashboards that help drive business decisions. This role will ensure the quality, consistency, and accessibility of data across multiple sources while collaborating with teams across the organization. A successful Data Specialist will demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in data visualizations, and understand that this role is critical to the success of Tailwind Group. This is a full-time position working a standard schedule, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time dependent on business needs. The compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 annually plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location. Responsibilities & Duties
  • Maintain interactive dashboards, templates, dynamic reports, and other visualization tools to present data in a clear and actionable format.
  • Ensure data quality, accessibility, and alignment with the company's standards, processes, and branding.
  • Monitor existing dashboards for data anomalies and investigate and mitigate issues in partnership with the Data Analyst.
  • Clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, and readiness for analysis.
  • Stay up to date on dashboard tools and contribute to improving existing reporting processes and visual standards.
  • Build relationships with property managers to train on proper processes and procedures relating to data integrity.
  • Update business intelligence tools to reflect property acquisitions and dispositions, including adding/removing properties and inputting historical data as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance, leasing, operations, and other departments to collect relevant data and information.
  • Communicate regularly with the Data Analyst to flag errors, system issues, or provide user feedback that may require updates or improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excel in a team environment while demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
  • Possess familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and dashboards.
  • Communicate effectively, building relationships and translating technical concepts for non-technical team members.
  • Ability to apply advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and other data analysis functions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Uphold a high level of integrity and professionalism in all work.
  • Bring experience with Domo and/or Entrata software (preferred).
