DESCRIPTION
The Data Specialist supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. This role implements data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
Partners with Analysts in data preparation
Works with data from aGoogle Sheets, Excel, Access, SQL and other data sources
Modifies and updates tables and queries
Translates report requirements/specifications and uses analytics applications to generate, interpret and extract necessary data that can be rendered into insights and analysis
Creates reports and dashboards using analytics tools and software
Generates data driven insights and presentations leveraging descriptive analytics
Prepare ad-hoc reports per clients' request
Performs complex analysis and problem solving and works well under pressure
Works independently within general direction and guidelines, yet recognizes when to seek assistance
Responsible for reviewing data and performing quality assurance to ensure data integrity
Manages multiple priorities, maintains detail and meets deadlines
Performs other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, a quantitative field or equivalent.
0-2 years of related experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to organize and complete multiple priorities on time
Google Suite proficient, strong Google Sheets and Slides skills are a must.
Microsoft Office experience preferred.
Experience using SQL to perform analysis in relational databases preferred
Experience with data management with an emphasis on validating data from multiple systems
Experience using a data-visualization such as PowerBI and Tableau preferred
Self-motivated and self-directed while working effectively in a team environment
Keen attention to detail
Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in high-pressure environments
High degree of professionalism and respect for confidentiality
Ability to express complex technical and abstract concepts effectively both verbally and in writing
Proven track record in multi-tasking, demand management, problem solving, organization, and prioritization skills

Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment weighing less than 15 pounds. This position involves viewing a computer monitor for more than 30% of the time.
