Data Specialist - University of Georgia : Job Details

An IT Database Support Paraprofessional, under general supervision, is responsible for data entry, maintaining, testing, and implementing the database and affiliated programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining the database, testing programs, correcting, managing data flow, and coordinating changes. Responsibilities may also include integrating different products together and planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the database. An IT Database Support Paraprofessional typically reports to an IT Database Support Professional or an IT Manager and may supervise nonexempt IT Database Support staff. This employee plays a vital role in handling data submitted to and created by the Agricultural and Environmental Services Laboratories. The primary functions include data entry, creating and emailing reports, logging in samples, filing, and communicating with County Extension Offices.
