Position Overview: As a Data Scientist in Indianapolis, IN, you will analyze complex data sets, develop simulation models, leverage foundation models, and identify insights to inform business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand problems, develop hypotheses, and test them with data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for large data analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address business problems with data-driven solutions.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Research emerging trends and technologies relevant to the role.
  • Manage multiple projects with prioritization and efficiency.
  • Additional Duties:

  • Frame and solve complex business problems using simulation and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop scenario planning models.
  • Maintain data quality and accuracy.
  • Stay current with advancements in simulation and AI technologies.
  • Minimum Requirements:

    • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics (Numerical Analysis, HPC, OR), Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
    • Or MS in the same fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience developing simulation and leveraging foundation models.
    • Experience with simulation and machine learning.
    • Proficiency in Python or R.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with deep learning and reinforcement learning.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • People management or consulting experience.
    • Experience with simulation platforms like Anylogic or Simio.
