Required Skills:

Data Scientist, Product Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to contribute to the design and development of Meta products.
  • Apply expertise in machine learning, large language models, and quantitative analysis to understand user interactions with products.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to build, train, and evaluate models, including NLP and Computer Vision, ensuring user and business protection.
  • Support and execute product decisions and launches.
  • Participate in projects related to product operations, analysis, influence, and data infrastructure.
  • Have a strong statistical foundation, including proficiency in inference methods, to build measurement products.
  • Use good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
  • Completion of a university-level course, research, internship, or thesis in:
  • ML and LLM training, evaluation, and application.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and data mining on complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying.
  • Skill in Python for data manipulation and model development.
  • Proficiency in R, SAS, or Matlab.
  • Experience with A/B testing and causal inference.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes.
  • Understanding of schema design and database performance.
  • Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop or Spark.
  • Knowledge of clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or related statistical techniques.
  • Public Compensation:

    $215,372/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
