The selected candidate will collaborate directly with clients to understand their data-related challenges and questions. Based on this understanding, they will determine the most suitable analytical methods and approaches within the constraints of program objectives.You will serve in a lead role or provide support in building automated processes, designing data science architectures, conducting analysis, developing workflows, utilizing advanced tools for data examination, and identifying trends to address complex DoD and IC challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with both structured and unstructured datasets in a modeling and analytics context to develop efficient processes for evaluating complex data sources and addressing unique intelligence challenges
- Lead and contribute to the creation of new solutions, as well as the enhancement of existing ones
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and program managers to break down road map items into actionable tasks, provide time and resource estimates, propose solutions, and assess risk
- Apply exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques to extract insights, patterns, and correlations from complex datasets
- Integrate math, coding, and analytics to derive actionable insights for decision-makers
- Research and apply optimization frameworks and strategies to inform both data management and analytical activities
- Use big data tools to process and interpret diverse datasets, generating meaningful insights
- Conduct peer reviews to raise the quality of workflows and analytical approaches
- Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performing, technically skilled workforce
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Polygraph
- 10+ years of related experience (combination of experience, education, and certifications/trainingwill be considered)
- Background supporting Intelligence Community operations
- Expert-level ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
- Demonstrated experience in database development, maintenance, and data mining
- Proven capability in identifying opportunities for system enhancements and new analytic capabilities
- Experience leveraging government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) data processing and analytics tools to modernize methodologies
- Proficiency with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) statistical tools such as MapLarge, Tableau, or MATLAB for data visualization and complex statistical analysis
- Understanding of and hands-on experience with advanced analytical methods, and a track record of applying them to meet client needs
- Experience leading skilled technical teams in solving intricate intelligence and analytical problems
- Knowledge of multi-INT and specialized technology research methods to support operational needs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical details in an accessible way
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Data Science or a closely related technical discipline
- Background in developing and implementing AI/ML technologies
- Experience in programming for web interfaces and geodatabase development using .NET, Python, C++, or Java
- Familiarity with building and maintaining databases for GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT to align with mission needs
- Proficiency in visualizing data through Matrix or Network Analytics, graphical data tools, and creating operational pictures that support assessments and intelligence products
