Job Description :

Client: Healthcare

Position: Data Scientist

Location: Pasadena, CA - candidates must be local - primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings

Duration: Contract until 12/2025; extensions likely

Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2 (some flexibility for strong candidates)

Responsibilities:

• Build web-based solutions
• Upgrade healthcare technology systems
• Handle fast-moving migrations
• Work across multiple products under the pharmacy umbrella
• 50% Front End development and 50% Back End development, depending on the application

Required Skills:

• Master's degree
• 8-10 years of experience in Data Science or as a Data Scientist
• Healthcare experience (e.g., EPIC, Behavioral Health, EHRs, Medical Claims, Medical Coding - CPT, HCPCS, ICD, PCS, etc., CMS, state healthcare data repositories like DMHC, DHCAI, HCUP/AHRQ)
• Proficiency in Python and R
• Experience with advanced Machine Learning algorithms and statistical techniques (regression, neural networks, simulation, scenario analysis, etc.)
• Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining
