Job Description

As our organization continues to expand its portfolio of AI-driven products, we are seeking a dedicated Data Scientist to support the development and testing of next-generation AI and generative AI (GenAI) technologies. This role is essential for ensuring innovation and maintaining high standards of reliability and performance across our growing list of products. The ideal candidate will bring fresh expertise to support the end-to-end development lifecycle of AI solutions, participate in rigorous testing, and help scale our team's capabilities to maintain an expanding product lineup.

Responsibilities

• Derives analytical requirements, selects and executes appropriate mathematical methods and interprets the results in consultation with the business teams.
• Implements pilots or POCs for prioritized use cases with country/regional/functional teams.
• Applies mathematics, statistics, predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to develop and productize predictive and prescriptive models for decision making and to optimize processes.
• Supports and coaches junior data scientists or data analysts in global and local teams.
• Liaises with other experts cross-functionally to share best practices.
• Identifies opportunities for applying advanced optimization techniques across the supply chain.
• Architects the development of new cloud based supply chain enterprise systems and applications, determining key design elements, technical specs, platforms and coding standards in Python or Java.
• Defines the business questions that need be answered and determine appropriate analytical models and approaches to solving such problems.
• Patents approaches and works with leading universities in researching future opportunities.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data science-related roles, required.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python and Java, required.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex problems and deriving creative recommendations through data science.
• Experience in developing GenAI applications, preferred.
• A good understanding of supply chain business and the logistics IT landscape (WMS, TMS), preferred.
• Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, and a willingness to work in a dynamic, diverse, and intercultural environment, required.
