Responsibilities: Kforce has a client in Altamonte Springs, FL seeking a Data Scientist II. The role involves: Serving as the organization-wide expert on Data Science methods, including data mining, statistical analysis, data processing/cleaning/verifying, and modeling/prediction. Applying Data Science techniques such as applied statistics, machine learning, decision trees, and support vector machines to influence cost, revenue, and outcomes. Leading and participating in Data Science projects under the guidance of the Business Analytics & Data Science Director. Employing critical thinking and creative problem-solving to overcome barriers and escalating issues to leadership when necessary. Using programming languages like Python, R, and SQL to analyze data from enterprise sources. Investigating and recommending external Data Science tools and vendors to senior leadership. Managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining customer relationships. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems, or related fields. At least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to respond effectively to time-sensitive issues. Self-directed with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Attention to detail for accurate results. Mastery of MS Office suite and database management applications. Experience with Data Science methods, programming languages, and in healthcare settings is preferred.
