Dynamic Solutions Technology, LLC, a premier strategic services firm that meets IT and service needs for commercial and government clients, is seeking a full-time Data Scientist II to support a DoD customer based in San Diego, CA.

ACTIVE SECRET UP TO TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities:
  • Work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.
  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming and visualization software.
  • Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
  • Create dynamic data reports.
  • Perform software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as Python and R, and use common packages for data science applications.
    • Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Master's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
    • Bachelor's Degree in the same fields, or Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant focused experience.
    Relevant Industry Certifications:
    • CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH)
    • Certified Apache Hadoop Developer
    • Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)
    • Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
    • Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), Private Cloud, Certified
    Experience and Skills:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong critical thinking skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and R, and related packages.
    • Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms.
    • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
    • Experience with API building, ETL pipelines, web application servers, or search indexing.
    • Experience with programming tools like Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Requests.
    • Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
    • Experience with statistical and operations research methods.
