Step into this pivotal role with the Department of Information Technology and drive the transformation of our data systems.The Department of Information Technology , Enterprise Resource Planning/Computer Services Representative Division, located in Honolulu, is hiring a Data Processing Systems Analyst IV (Working Supervisor). This position plans and oversees implementation of the Public Services CSR Section's information technology activities in support of departmental goals and objectives.What You'll Do
- Coordinate and plan the identification and development of departmental information technology (IT) needs, projects, initiatives, policies and procedures in coordination with the Department of Information Technology.
- Supervise and direct the activities of the Public Services CSR Section staff in the selection, coordination, implementation and support of the department's IT-related projects and initiatives.
- Oversee and coordinate the overall procurement and/or administration of contract services for department-specific information technology-related projects.
- Formulate, develop, and establish standard data management work processes, policies, methods and procedures consistent with and in coordination with the Department of Information Technology.
- Direct and coordinate the efforts of multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional teams organized to develop computerized systems and programs to handle the various applications utilized in the department.
- Work on other key assignments for the role.

Data and text messaging fees apply.Minimum Qualification RequirementsAt time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.Education RequirementEquivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in public or business administration, accounting, mathematics or a related field.Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a Bachelor's degree.For Example
- Four (4) years of professional work experience, in any occupation, may substitute for a general bachelor's degree.
- Four (4) years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) in computer science, information technology, management information systems (MIS), or similar area may substitute for a general bachelor's degree.
The education requirement must be met at the time of application. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at an accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, proper documentation, e.g., a foreign credential evaluation (FCE), must be provided. - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited four year college or university may be substituted for six months of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited four year college or university may be substituted for one year of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures.
There is NO substitution for the two years of experience which shall have involved the conduct of feasibility studies and the analysis and design of systems for the electronic processing of data or the one year of supervisory experience.The education requirement must be met at the time of application.
