Data Modeler - SonSoft : Job Details

Requisition Details:

Essential Job Functions:

• Determine business information needs and identify system requirements.
• Create Entity Relationship diagrams, star schema, and dimensional models.
• Ensure data integrity by analyzing, testing, validating, and certifying data system tables aligned with business requirements and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex internal and external projects, handle tasks and deadlines, plan, and prioritize service requests and assignments.
• Design and document database structures for the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with end users to understand needed changes or modifications to existing programs and resolve questions about program intent and data input.
• Experience with Netezza supporting data warehouse modeling is preferred.
• Experience with data modeling within healthcare insurance is preferred.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data design, architecture, and modeling (transactional and analytical).
• 8+ years of experience in relational and dimensional data design and modeling in a large multi-platform data environment.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server/DB2 supporting transactional systems modeling is preferred.
• Experience with Erwin or other data modeling tools is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with experience interfacing with programmers, users, and management.
