Data Integrity Specialist - Credentialing - Hattiesburg Clinic : Job Details

POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for oversight of data integrity within the Credentialing Department. This oversight includes evaluation, analysis, design and maintenance of all Credentialing information systems, as well as assists in identifying new Credentialing Department needs for processes and reports. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree, required
• Background in the healthcare industry with experience in information systems, preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is necessary
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, as well as interpersonal/public relations skills are required
• Excellent organization skills with analytical problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in working with large amounts of data typically handled by spreadsheet or relational databases
• Ability to compose and organize written materials and to assemble facts;
• Possess time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks, work amid interruptions and multitask when required
• Must be self-starter who uses own initiative to take responsibility for job tasks and follow through without direct supervision
• Possess good judgment and a pleasant manner
• Accuracy in spelling; knowledge of proper English and grammar as well as medical terminology
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, but work and communicate well with others when required. (Interacts with administration, department directors, managers, supervisors, staff employees, applicants, and representatives from other hospitals and outside agencies.)

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
