Data Integration Specialist - Insight Global : Job Details

Job Description

A large customer of Insight Global is seeking a sharp, adaptable Data Integration Specialist to play a key role in bridging two critical scheduling tools and translating their outputs into actionable formats for the Facilities Specs Engineering team. This role requires a deep understanding of complex data structures, business processes, and facility planning requirements. This individual will be instrumental in enabling tool integration, supporting future enhancements, and ensuring that planning data flows seamlessly across systems to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Convert and format data outputs to ensure compatibility with downstream facility tools, maintaining consistent product and location mapping across platforms.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data ingestion processes, evaluate legacy tools (Access, Excel, VBA), and support the development of scalable, modern solutions to streamline data flow.

• Interpret airline schedules and internal package flow to assess how volume impacts facility needs such as storage, doors, and location-specific requirements.

• Analyze and interpret code used in facility tools to identify opportunities for performance and usability improvements through tool enhancement or redevelopment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working with large databases in a corporate setting.

• Strong understanding of business processes, especially in logistics or transportation. • Proven experience in data conversion, ETL processes, or system integration.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects. Technical Must Haves:

• Oracle Database experience

• Perl (for legacy code interpretation)

• Strong file structure and data mapping skills

• Microsoft PowerQuery

• Python

• SAS

• Cloud database experience (non-Azure)

• Bachelor's degree
