Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Data Governance Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Irving, Texas.

Duties:

  • Triage and onboard highly complex data requests and issues
  • Interface directly with end users to resolve questions that require technical research
  • Provide technical subject matter expert knowledge and consulting on data usage, techniques, and accuracy of application and reporting data
  • Collaborate with IT and business to design and deploy databases and data pipelines to support analytics projects
  • Analyze data and systems to determine whether requirements can be met
  • Present solutions to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Improve the integrity of governance and data through delivery of validated, accurate sources
  • Work with the testers and IT to ensure that all data components are tested adequately
  • Provide benchmark performance testing to ensure timely retrieval of data and delivery to reporting stakeholders
  • Query and work with developers to understand the business application logic and data housed in source applications for use in reporting and analytics domain
  • Test and validate data pipelines, transformations, and datasets built by the IT team
  • Support Enterprise Data Catalog, Data Lineage and other Data Governance efforts

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including data storage, processing, and analytics
  • 1+ years of experience using Tableau, with a focus on creating interactive dashboards and applying user experience best practices in data visualization
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis
  • Familiarity with GCP SQL for managing and querying cloud-based datasets
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve data-related issues efficiently
  • Experience in data flow forecasting and analytics to support strategic planning and operational decision-making

The approximate pay range for this position is between $31.00 and $45.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
