Position Overview Reporting to the Group Head of Data Strategy & Insights, the Data Governance Analyst will ensure proper management, security, and utilization of data assets to support decision-making. The role involves maintaining standards, policies, and procedures related to data governance, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve data quality and integrity. The ideal candidate has experience in insurance operations, underwriting, product management, or as a data/business analyst, with a passion for high-quality data, process improvement, and bridging business with technology. Responsibilities Data Quality Management Support policies to maintain high data quality and integrity. Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor data accuracy. Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve data issues. Data Governance Policy Development Assist in designing and maintaining data governance frameworks and policies. Align policies with business objectives and regulations. Stakeholder Collaboration Work with data stewards, owners, and other stakeholders across departments. Promote data governance best practices and organize training. Risk and Compliance Identify and mitigate data risks. Ensure compliance with laws like GDPR and CCPA. Reporting and Documentation Generate reports and dashboards on data governance metrics. Maintain documentation for processes and policies. Requirements 3+ years in data management, governance, analysis, or related fields. Prior insurance experience. Attention to detail, organization, and accountability. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Power BI, SQL, data tools, and supporting data projects. This role may be filled at a different level depending on experience. Compensation Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 in Chicago and NY Metro, with potential bonuses and benefits.
