Position: Data Entry & Scanning Associate
Location: Auburn, Washington
Department: General Office
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-1:30pm (30 min lunch)
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for scanning documents and digital filing, and assist with performing office and clerical functions. This position fosters positive and professional relationships through interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. The Data Entry & Scanning Associate will also assist with event planning tasks as needed throughout the year. This position reports to the General Office Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and scan documents and digitally file corresponding documents with great accuracy.
- Backup co-workers who process, sort, and direct daily incoming and outgoing mail.
- Utilize various office equipment machines such as fax machine, copier and printer.
- Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Perform back up department functions and other clerical duties as assigned, including typing and answering phones and post office runs.
- Perform interoffice mails runs as requested.
- Provide back-up support to the receptionist as needed.
- Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Coordinate Company-wide employee functions including luncheons, parties, picnics, etc. as requested which includes, but is not limited to: email and paper communications, research, advertising, and overall coordination of functions.
REQUIRED ABILITY TO:
- Perform detail oriented task in an efficient and timely manner.
- Physically lift, move, push and pull up to fifteen (30) lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Collaborate with co-workers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner. Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills (face-to-face, via email/fax and over the telephone) including listening to others attentively and retaining and processing information.
- Effectively negotiate and problem solve to resolve issues.
- Arrange competing priorities to meet goals and deadlines.
- Proficiently utilize MS Office and internal software.
- Promote and carry out the objectives of the organization in a positive and professional manner.
- Build commitment to team, company, mission and customer through direct communication and positive role modeling.
- Maintain a presentable and professional appearance at all times.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Any combination of education and experience to demonstrate proficiency.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record and personal vehicle.
- 50 wpm and 10-key experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Continuous work in an office setting with emphasis on using scanning office equipment.
- Physically lift, move, push and pull up to fifteen (30) lbs. throughout the work day.
- Use of personal vehicle or company car.
- Use of computer programs and systems.
