We are seeking a Data Entry Operator II for a very important client. The Database Data Entry Operator II will perform high-volume data entry for the Faculty Database Management System, a system of record and appointment management system for 800+ faculty members. The Database Data Entry Operator II has the primary responsibility for manually entering, extracting, transferring, and auditing data from faculty curricula vitae, reports, documents, and existing databases into the Faculty Database Management System.Position is with Office of Faculty Affairs with KP School of Medicine Entering faculty member CVs into KPSOM database Manually retrieve data from each section of CV and enter it; CVs can range from 2 pages to 200 pages Data from current database will need to be entered into new customized database May be data transfers from one data base to another as well as extracting data and inputting it into a spreadsheet or put it into a report Will work with Business Consultant, Project Manager and Data Entry Operators (3)Responsibilities- Maintains and updates faculty database files, project spreadsheets, and reporting.- Enters and transfers physical data for faculty documents, project documents, etc. into a database within time limits.- Performs high-volume accurate data entry (average: 8,001 to 10,000 keystrokes per hour).- Performs data entry quality checks to ensure data is accurately entered and displayed in database. Detects and correct errors.- Produces and formats data entry reports and documents.- Performs basic management of electronic files (i.e., file, print, copy, transfer and delete).- Accesses information from a computer and documents.- Uses word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other software on a computer.- Complies with data integrity and security policies.- Completes other projects and duties as assigned. Requirement: The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:Requirements:MUST be able to work onsite in PasadenaProficiency with computer software programs such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access to organize and communicate information; ability to quickly learn new information systems and software program Required Skills-100% accuracy at minimum of 40-60 WPM - please put typing test results at top of resume.- Minimum of 2 years of proven data entry work experience- Typing certificate ? 100% accuracy at minimum of 80 WPM; additional computer training or certification will be an asset to be administered by the supplier.- Extremely detail-oriented with accurate database and spreadsheet data entry skills- Proficiency with computer software programs such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access to organize and communicate information; ability to quickly learn new information systems and software program- Discretion with confidential data- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, tone, and grammar; strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working collaboratively with others- Ability to follow instructions and work independently- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities- Ability to think analytically- Can also use basic office equipment (including a photocopy machine, facsimile machine, binding machine, etc.)Preferred Skills- Bachelor?s degree- Demonstrated success providing leadership and support within a complex work environment- Ability to learn and apply thorough knowledge of KP's policies, practices, business, theories, and systems- Ability to effectively use in-depth knowledge of company practices, techniques, and standards to work autonomously- Applies advanced business theories/concepts to accomplish significant department projects and/or initiatives- As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways- Uses advanced verbal and written communication skills to compose more complex, detailed correspondence and reports,recommends updates to department/functions, and represents dept/function- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, stressful environment- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and independently make key decisions
