Data Entry Clerk

As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately entering data and creating purchase orders that instruct the shop personnel on specific tasks such as heat treatment processes, temperatures, and alloys. This role involves utilizing computer systems extensively, including Visual-Shop software, which is user-friendly, and occasionally Microsoft Office applications. Strong reading, writing, comprehension, and customer service skills are essential, as you will occasionally interact with customers over the phone.

Responsibilities
  • Enter data and write up purchase orders for shop instructions.
  • Utilize Visual-Shop software and Microsoft Office for data entry and documentation.
  • Provide customer service and handle occasional confrontational phone interactions.
  • Assist with answering phone calls, although this will be infrequent.
  • Participate in hands-on tasks in the shop, such as painting and operating forklifts, as needed.
  • Essential Skills
    • Proficiency in data entry and computer usage.
    • Ability to read and write effectively.
    • Strong comprehension skills and customer service abilities.
    • Comfortable working independently and problem-solving before seeking help.
    Additional Skills & Qualifications
    • Interest in learning the industry, including aerospace specifications and business operations.
    • Experience with general labor, loading, unloading, and mechanical tasks.
    • Ability to work with hand tools, packaging, and cleaning.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
