One of our direct clients is urgently looking for a Data Engineer @ Carlsbad, CA.

TITLE: Data Engineer

LOCATION: Carlsbad, CA

Duration: 6 to 12+ months

Rate: DOE

Required:

  • Proficient with Spark, Hive, and BigQuery
  • Should know how to work with Airflow, ElasticSearch
  • Good in Python, Scala, and Java

    • Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop ecosystem-based applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.

    Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

    Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience in computer programming, software development, or related.
  • 3+ years of solid Java and 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions for big data in Hadoop using Hive, Spark, Drill, Impala, HBase.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix, Teradata, and other relational databases. Experience with @Scale is a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
