Amazon is looking for a highly analytical Data Engineer to join the AWS Data Center Engineering team. The Data Center Engineering team owns the availability of AWS data centers and has a direct impact on the customer experience. As a Data Engineer, you will partner with Business Intelligence Engineers and other teams to build data pipelines and solutions that leverage operational data from the AWS fleet. You will ensure the timely delivery and reliability of data for downstream business intelligence and decision-making. Your work will directly influence organizational strategies and decisions.

The ideal candidates will have excellent analytical skills, curiosity, and strong technical expertise. They should be data-driven, capable of building scalable data systems, self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and innovative, with a strong judgment to make the right decisions. • Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of data engineering experience
• 2+ years of SQL experience
• 1+ years of experience with a modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, NodeJS)

• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight, Tableau)
• Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, IAM
• Experience communicating technical requirements and designs
• Experience with version control and non-relational databases
