About the Office:The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) advises the Mayor of the City of New York on criminal justice policy. MOCJ develops and implements strategies, with partners inside and outside government, to reduce crime and incarceration and to promote fairness and legitimacy. MOCJ works with law enforcement, city agencies, non-profits, foundations, and others to implement data-driven strategies that address current crime conditions, prevent offending, and build the strong neighborhoods that ensure enduring safety.
About the Role:The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) is looking for a SharePoint - Power BI Developer to develop and support SharePoint, Power BI, O365 and Visual Studio applications. This role will also provide data management and dashboarding technical support and perform business analyst roles throughout the MOCJ Technology Services department.
As a SharePoint - Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new end user applications and tools for data consumption and visualization. In the application technical support role, the SharePoint - Power BI Developer will maintain existing applications, dashboards, provide post implementation support to applications, workflows and data tools and provide training when required.
As a data manager, you will apply statistical and machine learning models to analyze large datasets from multiple sources such as criminal justice databases, case management systems, and public data to help research units derive actionable insights that help shape MOCJ's policies and programs. As a business analyst, this person will evaluate business requirements and will design customized applications and tools.
