Job Title: Content Specialist (multiple positions)
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Duties:
Gather and refine broad business requirements from Morningstar commercial products into concrete implementation plans with clear resource estimates to aid with enterprise-level prioritization (15%).Design and lead the end-to-end implementation of new data solutions by providing detailed specifications based on sound financial research as well as commercial request for technical team implementation (15%).Document the business data flow and manage the upstream/downstream dependencies during the development process (30%).Conduct QA testing of the end output to ensure quality across 10 different dimensions (5%).Serve as the voice for the Managed Investment Data team, the largest data team at Morningstar, in discussions regarding new data platform developments and data governance (5%).Educate team members globally to ensure organizational alignment on dataset implementation via new data platforms and serve as consultants for global data initiatives (30%).Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related analytical field or foreign equivalent, with 3 years of relevant experience in roles such as Associate Data Research Analyst, Data Research Analyst, Senior Data Research Analyst, Data Content Researcher, or related positions. The role also requires:
- Experience with SQL and Python
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
- Financial data modeling expertise
- Data storage design skills
- Experience with Data ETL (extract, transform, load) processes
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Experience with technical product management
- Familiarity with agile development frameworks
Must possess unrestricted right to work in the U.S.
Base Salary: $112,814
