Position: Datacenter Technician (DCT)
Duration: 3+ Month Contract
Location: Ashburn, VA (100% ONSITE)
Pay Rate: $27/hr. (opportunity for promotion at your 3 Month Mark - $31/hr. depending on performance)
Schedule: Saturday - Tuesday, 1:00-9:30 PM
Training Hours (1-2 weeks): 8 AM 5:30 PM
Job Responsibilities:
Work in customers Data center, providing 24x7 technical support. Install and configure network systems from data link layer to application layer. Monitor and maintain network daily to ensure availability and stable access for remote users. Engage in site layout, network construction planning, quality control, and data safety. Supervise server support specialists to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or network issues, replacing defective components as needed. Skills and Qualifications:
At least 8 months of experience in a data center environment. Knowledge of L1-L7 network architecture, TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, and Optical communication technology. Experience installing servers and components, including boards, cards, hard drives, and software. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for hardware and software issues. Ability to diagnose data communications problems using specialized tools and software. Interaction experience with coworkers and customers. Certifications such as A+ and CCNA preferred; training from hardware/software manufacturers is a plus. Knowledge of power and airflow systems is an asset.
