Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily building inspections to monitor and document the status of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, ensuring 24/7 reliability and availability.
  • Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS).
  • Assist in diagnosing facility and rack-level incidents while adhering to internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Carry out rack installations and decommissioning tasks as stipulated by SLA.
  • Execute preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Create technical documentation to support change management procedures.
  • Manage work requests to resolution and complete projects from initiation to final execution.
  • Collaborate with on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Be prepared for varied work schedules, including shifts that may extend to 12 hours, and participate in on-call duties.
  • Support operations across multiple sites as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in physical conditions with required accommodations.
  • Regularly lift/move items weighing up to 39 pounds and work with weights exceeding 40 pounds in a team setting.
  • Execute tasks on ladders while maintaining balance.
  • Engage in various physical activities including walking, reaching, stooping, climbing, and working overhead.
  • Work in environments where ear protection is necessary.
A Day in the Life:

This hands-on role focuses on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, reporting to a Data Center Facility Manager. You will maintain and resolve issues with mission-critical equipment, such as diesel generators, electrical systems, cooling systems, fire safety systems, and building automation systems.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Technical training or a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire systems within a mission-critical context or related industry.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products for at least 2 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Center Engineering.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
