The Centersquare Lead Data Center Facilities- Mechanical is accountable for planning, maintenance, and documentation of operations and associated mission critical infrastructures toward the economy and maximum utilization of facilities, equipment, and contract resources. As a member of the Facilities Team, the Lead Data Center Facilities (Mechanical) will support mentoring practices of junior staff to ensure continuity of training and quality results. The Lead Data Center Facilities (Mechanical) ensures effective oversight of all contractor activity and maintains fiscal responsibility of projects and required maintenance practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call emergencyresponse&supportas necessarytomaintainthehighest levelofintegrity and availabilitytobuildingsystemsand mechanical infrastructure efficiency.
  • Work directly with the customer and/or Evoque-Cyxtera support staff to identify and troubleshoot as necessary to isolate the root cause of problems to include standing, bending and kneeling as needed to perform this task.
  • Perform and execute necessaryroundssuch as Securityand/orfacilitiesroundsthroughouttheData center and aroundtheproperty as directedtoinsuretheintegrityofthesite.
  • Maintaining mechanical infrastructurepermanufacturers' recommendation and corporatespecifications.Coordinate services and activitiesofmaintenance contractorsandservice providers as appropriatetoIDC facilitiesoperations,maintenance, design andconstructionservices insupport ofcorporate andcustomerobjectives.
  • Manage projects and administrationofprofessionalconsultantsand contractors providing building repair, and capital improvementservices.
  • Conduct inspections,surveys and develop recommendations and specificationstoimprove, repairormodify mechanical plant and buildingsystemstowardthehighest operational integrity and energy efficiency & develop workstatementsandMOPs.
  • Interfacewithbuilding managementsystemsandotherautomatedtoolsand applicationstoensure operationalefficiencies.
  • Maintain appropriatevendorrelationshipstoperformthenecessary building repair and maintenance.
  • Provide “on-call” emergencyresponseas appropriatetorotational schedule.
  • InterfacewithSales and Project Management professionals asappropriate.
  • Assumethefacilities Manager'sdutiesduringhis/herabsence.
  • Provides effective oversight, leadership and administrationofassigned projects which includes directionofproject teams andcontractors.
  • Lifting of Evoque-Cyxtera and/or customer equipment required up to and in excess of 50 lbs. Server lifts can be utilized where applicable.
  • Otherdutiesasassigned.
  • Managecontractors, projects, and maintenance activities pertainingtoallmechanical infrastructureequipmentandsystems.
  • Evaluate Data from buildingsystems toensuresystemefficiencies andeffectiveness.
  • Perform dailyinspectionsanddocumentationofallinfrastructurecomponentsas appropriatetoallstandard operatingprocedures.
  • Develop standard and emergency operating procedures and prepare work-scopes, and technicaldocumentationasrequired.
  • Establish cost estimates and participate in procurement processes insupport ofoperations and pricingactivities.
  • Develop projectbudgetsand track for efficientuse ofresources.
  • Design and maintainallspacetooptimizehot/coldaisleconfiguration
  • SupporttheFacility Manager intheevaluationofspace and capacityrequests.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical fieldorequivalentexperience.
  • StatePlumbingorA/CLicensedesired.
  • Militarytrainingortechnicalcertificationsdesired.5+years'experienceinmissioncriticalenvironments.
  • Extensive operationalknowledgeofHVAC, plumbing, glycolsystems,DXsystems,CRAH/CRACunit,humidifiers, chillers, RTUs, chilled waterpumps,leakdetection, sumppumps, ductwork,VAVs,VFDs, coolingtowers,digital controls and BMS, andfiredetection andsuppression.
  • Individualshould bea self-starterwithproblem solving skills and abletocarryoutresponsibilitieswithminimalsupervision.
  • Strongcommunication (verbal and written) skills; experience in technical writing and customer-facingpresentations.
  • Strongteamplayer.
  • Effective communication skillswiththeabilitytosuccessfully interactwithbothinternal and externalcustomers.
  • Strongproject management,trouble-shootingand organizationalskills.
  • Familiarityoflocal/national regulatorycodes,guidelines, and permitprocesses.
  • Understandingofbudgetsand procurementprocesses.
  • Competentuse ofComputerized Maintenance Tools (CMMS, BMS,ERP).
  • FluentPC skills (MicrosoftOffice&Outlook)
  • Familiaritywith AutoCAD,MaximoandALC.
  • Knowledgeof SAPandCAFM.

$100,000 - $113,000 plus bonus
