Data Center Facility Operations Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in data center operations, is seeking a Data Center Facility Operations Specialist to join their team. As a Data Center Facility Operations Specialist, you will be part of the operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Facility Operations Specialist

Location: Canton, MS

Pay Range: $34-35/hr

What's the Job?

  • Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate projects with managers and business leaders to optimize safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Oversee routine and emergency services on critical facilities systems such as switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for all facilities-related issues concerning mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) items.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in data center operations.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a technical environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.
