Qualifications

The Data Center Engineer role requires:

  • 1-3 years of data center experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to address customer needs efficiently and escalate issues when necessary
  • Clear communication skills for customer interactions
  • Self-motivation and responsibility with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels
  • Physical ability to lift and move 50 to 75 lbs
    • Responsibilities
  • Rack, stack, cable, and label new hardware
  • Extend circuits from demarcation points to hardware
  • Provide remote hands for break/fix activities
  • Maintain records of supplies and coordinate procurement
  • Perform hardware degaussing and maintain logs for HIPAA compliance
  • Conduct logical and physical audits of servers and connections
  • Participate in conference calls during outages
