Job Title- Data Center Commissioning PM
Location- Jackson, MS (Travel 70%)
The Position
Our client, a nationally respected leader in electrical engineering, construction, and commissioning, is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead QAQC and startup efforts on complex, high-value projects. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated commissioning expert to guide end-to-end system validation, startup, and performance testing for major infrastructure, mission critical, and industrial environments.
The successful applicant will assume responsibility for:
- The Cx Project Manager responsible for providing general management of electrical and/or specialty systems QAQC and Commissioning scopes of work, as well as successfully managing commissioning and startup schedules.
- Leading equipment startup and commissioning schedules, meetings, and documentation
- Coordinating with construction, engineering, and safety teams to ensure compliance with operational and client specifications
- Managing commissioning issue logs and ensuring timely resolution with all stakeholders
- Collaborating with third-party testing agents and managing quality deliverables
- Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring of commissioning team members
- Driving continuous improvement across startup protocols, safety practices, and commissioning plans
- Communicating clearly with clients, contractors, and field teams to ensure performance milestones are achieved
- Coordinates with 3rd party testing/commissioning agencies to ensure proper coverage during commissioning/startup procedures.
- Ensuring all activities comply with the highest safety and quality standards
Candidate reequipments
- 5+ years of experience in project or construction management
- 8+ years of experience in commissioning/startup of electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Proven record leading commissioning scopes on $25M+ construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
- Familiarity with mission critical, industrial, or large commercial project environments
- Strong understanding of QAQC/Cx, startup procedures, and industry standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Valid U.S. driver's license and passport; willingness to travel long-term to project sites (75–travel required)

- Familiarity with commissioning and QAQC/Cx management platforms
