Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Architect to join our IT team. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data systems and structures that meet the company's strategic needs. You will play a key role in creating efficient data workflows and managing large-scale datasets while ensuring data security, quality, and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture Design : Develop and implement comprehensive data architectures that ensure data is organized, accessible, and optimized for performance across various systems.
  • Database Management : Design, build, and maintain complex databases, including data warehouses, data lakes, and transactional systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security.
  • Data Modeling : Create logical and physical data models to support the structure and flow of data, aligning with business needs and future expansion plans.
  • Data Integration : Design and implement data integration strategies for combining data from multiple sources, ensuring seamless data flow between internal systems and external partners or platforms.
  • Performance Optimization : Monitor and fine-tune database performance, implement best practices for indexing, query optimization, and storage management to enhance system speed and efficiency.
  • Data Governance : Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and security protocols.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other IT teams to understand business requirements, data needs, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Big Data Technologies : Leverage big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) to process and analyze large-scale datasets, ensuring scalable solutions for high-volume data environments.
  • Cloud Data Solutions : Design and implement cloud-based data architectures, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to optimize scalability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, processes, and policies. Provide regular reports on data performance and initiatives to senior management.

    • Qualifications:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role in IT.
    • Expertise in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, cloud databases, etc.) and data modeling techniques.
    • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration tools.
    • Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
    • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with business and technical teams.
