Data Architect – supporting Discovery And Data ModelingShort DescriptionAs a Discovery Team Data Architect, you will provide technical leadership, data architecture, dataanalysis for key projects across Ford Pro by leveraging the latest data architecture concepts. In this roleyou will partner with business, data and analytics teams to deliver detailed data architecture, domaindata models, discovery documents that will feed the Data Engineering teams. You will focus on dataarchitecture, sourcing, analysis, modeling, profiling to help drive a robust, modern Analytics dataplatform (GCP Looker, Qliksense). In this roleyou will partner with business, data and analytics teams to deliver detailed data architecture, domaindata models, discovery documents that will feed the Data Engineering teams. You will focus on dataarchitecture, sourcing, analysis, modeling, profiling to help drive a robust, modern Analytics dataplatform (GCP Looker, Qliksense). Work closely with product teams, source data teams, analytics teams,and end users of the data platforms to provide leadership and consultancy.Role:• Technical thought and cross-functional leadership for data architecture between analyticsand other data sources• Partner with product teams of the Data and Analytics platform to provide data discoverydocuments, and models.Responsibilities• Design the data integrations required to support Analytics use cases moving into theGCP Looker/Qliksense platform including:o Data sourcing strategyo Data flow design into Ford Pro data warehouseo Determine and meet data transfer timing needs• Develop a detailed data mapping document for the data interface between the sourceand target data systems• Build and maintain a data dictionary for the data catalog downstream• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical design of the product data structures• Consult with Analytics Product Teams and Data Architect as they define, assemble, andintegrate data based on Industry best practices for Enterprise Data Warehouse andmeets Ford standards• Aligns to and updates Ford Pro Enterprise Data Model as appropriate• Enable Analytics and the Data Ingestion teams to move quickly, by ensuring dataarchitecture disciplines are developed, shared, and as part of Product Line deliveryteams• Maintain a broad perspective of data available across the organization (GDIA DataFactory, Connected Vehicle, Ford Credit, TMC, Electriphi)• Help guide data quality, management, security, performance and governanceRequirements• 5+ years of experience working with an enterprise data management solutions andtechnology, including data modeling, data analytics, business intelligence, master datamanagement, and data quality• Experience with large-scale, distributed systems design and development, includingscaling and performance• Experience with developing logical and physical data models and with data modelingtools• Experience working with software development teams on complex projects• Experience in working with Agile and Lean methodologies• Exposure and experience with Architectural standards, processes, and documentation• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate many services and a wide rangeof global business and IT partners• Perform at a high level of technical competence and maturity under pressure• Ability to communicate effectively with IT and business team members on a global leveland negotiate solutions and drive consensus across platforms • Excellent interpersonal,written and oral communication skillsPlus points:• Experience working with data available across Ford - GDIA Data Factory, ConnectedVehicle, Ford Credit, TMC, Electriphi• Past working relationships with Data Owners, Data Architects across Ford that you candraw upon to quickly enable data sourcingThe minimum qualifications weseek:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field master'sdegree preferable• Experience 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in Information/Data Engineering,Architecture and Administration• Experience with cloud services and platform knowledge• Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners• Ability to work independently but influence others when driving for enterprise standardsand solutions• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to theaudience• Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidlychanging environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
