Position Overview
  • Responsible for the design and optimization of enterprise-wide data architectures, including data stores, data marts, and operational data systems.
  • Focus on balancing data access optimization with batch loading and resource utilization to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Define and apply data architecture standards and best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to data management processes.
  • Optimize data pipelines and workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Lead the implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable Azure-based solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize Azure performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and access controls for Azure resources.
Data Architecture & Governance
  • Define and apply data architecture standards, including the organization, structure, and nomenclature of data elements.
  • Develop strategies for data acquisition, access analysis, recovery, and load balancing.
  • Establish and maintain data governance and security controls.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer on Azure troubleshooting and architecture.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of Azure-based solutions and data architectures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Azure-based data solutions (Data Lakes, Synapse, Data Factory).
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
  • Experience in defining and implementing data architecture standards.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and knowledge-sharing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Python or PowerShell preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
