Join the Rodefer Moss Transaction Advisors team, where your skills in Excel and data analytics will help drive high-impact decisions, all in a collaborative environment that values balance and growth.As a Data Analyst on our Advisory team, you will play a key role in supporting engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and complex claims analysis. This position is well-suited for a highly analytical and detail-driven professional seeking a dynamic, client-focused role in a fast-paced consulting environment.Can you?
  • Assist in the preparation of quality of earnings (QoE) reports, working capital analyses, and other due diligence deliverables?
  • Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs) of target companies?
  • Perform data modeling, trend analysis, and deep-dive reviews on revenue, margin, and operational metrics?
  • Support industry and company research to help assess risks and opportunities?
  • Prepare client-ready workpapers, schedules, and presentation materials?
  • Assist with builder's risk and insurance claims analysis, including reviewing supporting documentation and calculating damages
  • Provide support on litigation-related engagements, including financial modeling, damage calculations, and document review
  • Collaborate with Managers and Partners to support transaction execution?
  • Participate in client meetings and calls as needed?
RequirementsDoes this list describe your skillset?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in public accounting, finance, or transaction-related consulting (internships count)
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a transaction-driven environment
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
Preferred (but not required) Qualifications
  • Exposure to M&A, corporate finance, or audit/tax engagements involving private equity or corporate transactions
  • Familiarity with working capital concepts, EBITDA normalization, and transaction structuring
