Data Analyst with Data Quality and Governance 10+ Location: New York City, NY (Onsite) Contractual roleKeywords: Data Analyst, with a focus on Data Quality and Data Governance. Competencies: Microsoft Power BI, Informatica Product 360, Data Analytics & Insights: ignio AIOps, PL/SQL Role Description: Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies. Develop and implement data quality rules, validations, and monitoring processes. Support the creation and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Collaborate with data owners and stewards to improve data quality and enforce governance practices. Conduct data audits and provide actionable insights to enhance data reliability. Create and maintain documentation related to data definitions, lineage, and data standards. Work with IT and business teams to resolve data issues and support data migration or integration projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives around data management practices. Essential Skills: Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation). Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA). Experience in scripting languages such as Python or R. Desirable Skills: Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on Data Quality and Data Governance. Strong understanding of data management concepts, data lifecycle, and data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT). Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and data profiling techniques. Familiarity with data quality management tools and platforms. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
