Job Summary W e are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to lead and execute data migration initiatives across complex systems. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing data migration processes while ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance throughout. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand migration requirements, develop data mapping strategies, and validate outcomes. Job Description
- Assess current data structures and understand the requirements of the target system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timeline, and deliverables
- Identify potential data risks or challenges and develop mitigation strategies
- Extract data from legacy systems, transform it into required formats, and load it into target environments
- Ensure data consistency, completeness, and integrity throughout the ETL process
- Perform validation and resolve any data discrepancies or anomalies
- Develop and maintain data mapping documents outlining source-to-target field relationships
- Design database schemas that support performance, scalability, and usability in the target system
- Optimize schema structures for future data needs
- Conduct system and data testing before, during, and after migration activities
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy of migrated data
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and incorporate stakeholder feedback
- Implement security protocols to safeguard data during migration
- Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Maintain thorough documentation of the migration process for auditing and accountability
- Shift: M - F 7am - 3 :30pm
Skills Required
- Proven experience in data migration or related roles
- Strong understanding of database management systems and data mapping techniques
- Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tools and processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity
Education
- Highscho ol diploma or GED
