Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a qualified temporary Data Analyst . LOCATION: Camp Springs, MD - Office position not a reomote position SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. POSITION DESCRIPTION - Responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures. Also ensure data quality and security, regulatory and legal compliance, and establishment of data standards and best practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data Collection : Gathering data from various partners and consolidating it for organization and analysis.
• Quality Assurance : Ensuring data accuracy and reliability by identifying and eliminating duplicates, errors, and outliers.
• Data Modeling: Designing and maintaining databases or data warehouses to effectively store and display data.
• Data Interpretation : Identifying patterns and trends within the datasets to draw meaningful insights.
• Data Presentation: Communicating findings to stakeholders through various formats like reports, charts, graphs, and presentations.
• Collaboration : Working alongside partners, community members, private entities, and government liaisons to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate appropriate data sharing.
• Documentation : Creating comprehensive documentation to make the data analysis process understandable and replicable for others.
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 3 + years of work experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
• Capable of analyzing existing tools and databases and providing recommendations for software solutions.
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets and the ability to create graphs from databases is essential.
• Skilled in translating business requirements into clear, non-technical language.
• Extensive experience with methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases.
• Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and relational databases.
• Understanding of addressing standards and metadata.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in computer science. Or at least 5 years of working experience can be substituted.

HOURS OF OPERATION The work site location will be performed predominantly at the Government offices during core business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday on a regular 40 hour per week schedule unless otherwise required by the Manager. Our government customer reserves the right to alter individual work locations(s) and schedules. Additionally, contractors may be required to provide support during evenings and weekends outside the core hours of operations as needed (e.g., emergencies, system maintenance activities, tasks and projects) and authorized by the Manager. PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
