Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and mission-driven Part-Time Data Analyst to support our conservation and operations teams. In this remote role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze environmental, operational, and donor-related data, helping us measure impact, improve efficiency, and guide strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Gather, clean, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources including environmental, fundraising, and operational systemsCreate dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholdersCollaborate with program managers, scientists, and fundraising staff to identify data needs and solutionsPerform statistical analysis and identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvementEnsure data integrity and assist in maintaining database systemsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar roleProficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Python/RStrong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present data insights clearlyPassion for environmental conservation and The Nature Conservancy's missionSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyPreferred:
Experience working with environmental or nonprofit dataKnowledge of GIS tools or geospatial analysisSchedule & Compensation:
Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexible schedulingCompetitive hourly rate based on experienceSeniority level
