TITLE: Sr. Data Analyst - Business Improvement, Systems, and Operations CLIENT: A leading global energy and supply chain organization LOCATION: Houston, TX full-time onsite TYPE: Contract - 12 months with possible extension SALARY or RATE: $60-70/hr DOE URGENCY: Actively interviewing with a projected start date of end of September SUMMARY: We are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist / Data Analyst III to join the Business Improvement, Systems, and Operations team within the Global Supply Chain function. This role is responsible for driving business process development, optimization, and sustainability across Commercial functions. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in SAP, Power BI, and SQL to provide actionable insights, deliver process improvements, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration. DUTIES:

  • Own and execute business process development, improvement, and optimization initiatives.
  • Perform exception reporting and root cause analysis to strengthen supply chain and logistics monitoring.
  • Provide daily support to cross-functional Logistics Transparency Program teams.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, benchmarking data, and carrier performance analytics.
  • Support special projects and business improvement opportunities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement SAP system enhancements and improve logistics processes.
  • Ensure sustainability of project benefits through metrics, ownership, and process alignment.
  • Build consensus among global process owners to advance continuous improvement.
  • Communicate work status, align priorities, and balance strategic and tactical deliverables.
  • Apply subject matter expertise in logistics systems, processes, and performance tools to drive operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in data analytics, supply chain, or business improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, MIS, Business, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of SAP with proven ability to partner on system enhancements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across functions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to support business-driven decisions.
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field.
