Position Overview: GD Resources is actively seeking qualified Cybersecurity Professionals and Consultants to support a variety of future projects for the North Carolina Department of Information Technology. These opportunities may require work to be performed onsite, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement, depending on the client's operational needs. Responsibilities May Include: - Evaluate current security programs and recommend enhancements
- Conduct application and infrastructure risk assessments
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability scanning
- Lead incident response and forensic investigations
- Manage cloud, endpoint, and network security implementations
- Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in secure DevSecOps environments
- Provide security awareness training to technical and non-technical staff
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats via SOC operations
- Implement IAM and Zero Trust models
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the listed service categories
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+/CySA+, CCSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Security, GIAC, etc.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS
