Our commitment to our employees is recognized through our competitive total rewards package, including competitive compensation, generous benefits, and opportunities for professional development.Framatome is seeking a Scientist/Chemist for our Horn Rapids Road office in Richland, Washington .The Analytical Services function supports nuclear fuel and reactor control component manufacturing by performing analyses of products for chemical and mechanical properties. The laboratories are equipped with instrumental analyses (LECO analyzers, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, mass spectrometers, XRF, ion chromatograph, gas chromatograph, etc.) and wet chemistry capabilities (titration, ion-sensitive electrodes). We also utilize Thermo Fisher Scientific SampleManager LIMS software for sample tracking, results recording, and reporting.The Scientist/Chemist will be part of a diverse team of lab technicians and chemists, playing a key role in developing analytical methods, qualifying instrumentation, troubleshooting, and providing technical support. This role also includes maintaining the functionality and reliability of the LIMS system.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies to protect health and safety.Providing client input on scientific analysis of complex problems.Interpreting results, preparing reports, and offering technical advice.Leading projects and working on special initiatives.Managing LIMS and interfacing with manufacturing IT systems.TRAVEL: No travel required.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Physical, Applied Science, or Engineering, plus at least 4 years of related experience.Preferred Qualifications:Willingness to learn LIMS administration and interfaces.Over 5 years of experience with instrumental analysis, ideally in the nuclear industry.Experience in regulated industries.Strong software, computer, and programming skills.Experience with LIMS or similar complex software.Total Rewards: The salary range is $86,000 - $117,000, with potential bonuses and benefits including health plans, retirement plans, paid time off, education reimbursement, and more.Discover Richland, Washington: is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
