PURPOSE:

This role protects the organization's IT infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats by designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining comprehensive cybersecurity measures. It blends cybersecurity engineering, incident response, system monitoring, vulnerability management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure ongoing information security and resilience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and promptly respond to all security alerts and crises.
  • Be available, on a reasonable basis, for 24/7 incident response in some form.
  • Monitor, collect, and manage IT logs from all IT systems for SIEM approach.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce organization-wide security policies and best practices.
  • Triage and troubleshoot IT security systems to help minimize disruptions in IT monitoring systems.
  • Identify and resolve vulnerabilities within existing IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Perform regular penetration tests and provide detailed reports.
  • Document incidents, known breaches, and vulnerabilities using the firm's helpdesk ticket and documentation systems.
  • Collaborate with security vendors/consultants to assess potential security issues.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on maintaining firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Support network maintenance in collaboration with the Infrastructure Team.
  • Work with the Information Systems Department to recommend and improve security on IS systems.
  • Act as escalation support to the Help Desk Team in resolving security issues.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the Help Desk Team, fostering a culture of secure measures.
  • Participate in IT projects related to deployment and upgrades of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Engage in continuing education to stay current with cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 12 years experience in Network Engineering and Support Roles.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in Cybersecurity Roles.
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, accessories, and cables.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Azure management services.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft 365, Project, Visio, SCCM, and Intune.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Apple macOS, iOS, Android OS, Windows OS, video conference systems, VoIP systems, EDR/MDR, NDR/Darktrace systems, helpdesk ticketing systems.
    • Advanced knowledge of firewall technologies and networking protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, SMTP, SSH).
    • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Entra ID Management.

    SALARY: $120,000 - $160,000
