Responsibilities & QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the DTRA IT Cybersecurity (CS) department by providing resources and expertise for 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and response across DTRA's distributed network environment.
  • Collaborate with the DTRA IT, Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) analysts and engineers to process intelligence, identify threats, develop mitigations, monitor attacks, and assess risks, providing cyber situational awareness to agency leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor computer network defense services to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DTRA-supported networks and IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD CSSP Evaluators Securing Metrics (ESM) and support the existing CSSP processes that assist and defend system subscribers.
  • Conduct network threat monitoring using various tools and craft targeted queries for threat hunting.
  • Write detailed technical reports on threat identification, confirmation, containment, and follow-up actions.
  • Research threats and adversaries using open source and government databases, sharing findings effectively within the team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance
  • IAT Level II certification and CSSP Analyst certification (Security+ CE or better, CEH or better)
  • Experience with open source research
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • SANS GCIH or similar certification
  • Splunk Search App experience
  • Tanium Interact Module experience
  • Wireshark experience
