This position will primarily work out of the American Job Center located in Panama City, Florida. Panama City is centrally located in Northwest Florida between Pensacola and Tallahassee on Florida's Gulf of Mexico coast. The Panama City/Bay County area consistently ranks above the national average for quality of life. The area is well known for its beautiful beaches that feature 27 miles of white, sandy coastline along with countless recreational activities, an active arts community, and southern hospitality culture. Pay: $35,000.00 annually
Your Specific Responsibilities: Performs responsible, professional and administrative work in a workforce center setting. Providing services to job seekers and employers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office applications, incl. Word, Excel, PowerPoint Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective customer service Knowledge of the basic principles of counseling and case management Skilled in group presentations or workshop instruction and/or facilitation. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in individual and group settings, both verbally and in writing Ability to promote and market the Career Center Ability to deal with the public in a tactful, courteous, and effective manner. Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to provide excellent customer service Ability to conduct effective interviews Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Ability to prepare reports to include recording, evaluating, and analyzing data Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Ability to work independently by planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments
Qualifications: As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state and national law enforcement records. The incumbent must possess or obtain certification as a Workforce Professional Tier 1 within one year of employment in the position.
