Someone with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A highly organized individual to coordinate concrete deliveries across New Hampshire and Vermont by liaising with contractors, customers, drivers, plant managers, sales, quality control and management.
1. Proficiency taking customer order information while actively talking to contractors/customers on a multi-line phone system.
2. Accuracy while handling detailed order instructions and completing order paper backup, while maintaining a high level of customer service in frequent high-pressure situations.
3. Must have professional customer service skills on the phone while operating in a fast-paced environment.
4. Review all orders for accuracy and tax codes.
5. Able to multitask on a multi-monitor software system.
6. This role is 90% customer facing, while the other 10% requires internal teamwork, coordinating with the Dispatch Manager, QC team, and resolving occasional AR questions.
7. Learn, or have the ability to be walked-in to a jobsite from a major route, by the customer and forward these directions to drivers or Dispatch Manager as needed.
8. Confidently obtain credit card information for processing customer orders.
9. Must exercise discretion, this position requires the handling of confidential information.
10. Maintain accuracy and professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment.
11. Early mornings or late nights may be required depending on scheduling, with expected overtime in the busy season (May-Dec) including some Saturday work.
12. Attend required Dispatch team meetings.
Experience:
- 1 years customer service experience required.
- Construction background preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must have exceptional people-skills.
Education:
High School Diploma and equivalent work experience.
Skills:
1. Must be reliable, team oriented, exceptional communicator, patient/calm, understanding, and professional.
2. Must possess excellent reading (including map reading), writing and math skills.
3. Must possess exceptional phone etiquette.
